Job summary

Royal Greenwich is recruiting a Learning Mentor for Wingfield Primary School, London SE3. The role is permanent, 39 weeks per year, 35 hours per week, 8:30–16:00. You will work with teaching staff to address barriers to learning and support children’s social, emotional and mental health needs. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Experience with children and a commitment to inclusive education are valued, with DBS checks and safeguarding integral to the Trust ethos.

Salary: APT & C Scale SO1 points 23-25 - Actual Salary £33,347 to £34,237 per annum

Location: Wingfield Primary School London SE3

Contract type: Permanent – 39 weeks per year (Term Time plus 5 INSET days)

Hours: 35 Hours per week – 8:30 – 16:00 with 30 minutes for lunch

This role is based at Wingfield Primary School

In this role, you will:

• Work alongside teaching staff addressing the needs of children to overcome barriers to learning to achieve their full potential
• Support children to ensure their social, emotional, and mental health needs are met. Challenge and motivate children, promote and reinforce self-esteem
• Work closely with the SENCO/Inclusion lead, class teachers, children, and their families.
