Job summary

Lakey Lane Primary School in Hall Green, within The Prince Albert Community Trust, is seeking a Learning Mentor (Welfare Practitioner) to join the pastoral team and support pupils' welfare and academic progress. You will provide mentoring, work with teachers and families, and develop strategies to remove barriers to learning.

As part of a dedicated team you will monitor progress, report on pupil needs and help create a positive, safe school environment.

The Prince Albert Community Trust (PACT) wish to appoint a Learning Mentor to join our extensive Pastoral Team based at Lakey Lane Primary School. As a mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pupils' welfare and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide mentoring to pupils, focusing on their personal and academic development.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to create a supportive learning environment.
• Develop and implement strategies to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
• Be responsible for supporting with whole school behaviour, attendance and safeguarding
• Monitor and report on pupils' progress, ensuring they receive the necessary support.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in mentoring and supporting pupils.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
