Job summary

The Supply Register, in partnership with Reach South Trust/Transforming Futures Academy, is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to cover short-term absences and support learners across key stages. Roles are available on a temporary basis with both full-time and part-time options.

You will assist with lessons, provide 1:1 support, support SEN students, and help maintain a positive classroom environment. A current driving licence and access to a car are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a teaching assistant or similar support role preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers and parents.
  • Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting learning and development.
  • Flexibility to work across different year groups and classroom settings.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential.
  • Driver's licence and access to a car are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist classroom teachers with delivery of lessons and activities, including setting up resources and materials.
  • Provide one‑to‑one or small group support to students needing additional assistance with learning.
  • Support students with SEN by implementing IEPs and accommodations.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support professionals to ensure smooth classroom operation.

Company Overview: The Supply Register are a managed service working in partnership with Reach South Trust/Transforming Futures Academy.

We are currently seeking dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistants to join our team on a temporary basis to cover short‑term absences and provide valuable support to our students and teachers.

Position Overview

As a teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to provide essential support to students across various age groups and abilities. Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, providing one‑on‑one support to students, and helping to maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist classroom teachers with the delivery of lessons and activities, including setting up resources and materials.
  • Provide one‑on‑one or small group support to students who may require additional assistance with their learning.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations.
  • Help to manage classroom behavior and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other support professionals to ensure the smooth running of the classroom.
