Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to support pupils within an alternative provision setting in Wigan. You will provide one-to-one mentoring, support SEMH needs, and help pupils develop confidence and resilience in a structured learning environment.

You will work with teachers and pastoral teams, monitor pupil progress, contribute to safeguarding, and help pupils re-engage with education. Relevant Level 2/3 qualifications in education or youth work are advantageous.

Competenze

• Previous experience with children or young people in educational, pastoral or support settings.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs or barriers to learning.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach to managing challenging situations.
