Job summary

Ivy Resource Group is recruiting a Learning Mentor to support KS3 and KS4 students in Stroud's Alternative Provision, providing one-to-one and small group mentoring to help students engage with learning and overcome barriers.

You will work with teachers and SEN staff, promote positive behaviour and resilience, and may travel between sites using your own vehicle.

Qualifications

• At least 30 days' experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting students with additional needs, SEMH needs or challenging behaviour is desirable.
• A calm, compassionate and positive approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to motivate, encourage and inspire young people.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
• A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small group mentoring to students.

Location: Stroud
Pay: £90-£115 per day + Holiday Pay (12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot)
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term

We're recruiting a Learning Mentor to join a welcoming Alternative Provision in Stroud, supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students who benefit from additional guidance both in and out of the classroom.
