Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor for a welcoming primary school in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on supporting pupils who need extra guidance to reach their potential, both inside and outside the classroom.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, building trust with pupils and collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to promote confidence and resilience in learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, patient, and supportive approach.
• Ability to build trust and motivate pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Build positive relationships with children who require encouragement.
• Support pupils with SEMH, SEND, EAL, and attendance challenges.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
• Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and engagement in learning.
