Brookvale Primary School invites applications for a Learning Mentor to support pupils on a targeted basis. You will help individuals and small groups overcome barriers to learning and build confidence in the classroom.

Join a caring, collaborative team dedicated to inclusive education, professional development, and improving student outcomes. The role focuses on relationships, wellbeing and enabling pupils to engage and progress throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Is caring, enthusiastic and committed to supporting children and young people.
• Has experience of working with children in an educational, pastoral or similar setting.
• Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Has a good understanding of barriers to learning, wellbeing and engagement.
• Is able to provide support to help children develop confidence, resilience and independence.
• Works well as part of a team with teachers, families and professionals.
• Is patient, calm and able to respond sensitively to individual needs.
• Has a positive, inclusive approach and supports every child to reach potential.
