Job summary

Teach Match Recruitment in Rotherham is seeking Student Learning Mentors to support students in our Secondary School partners. You will provide tailored guidance to learners facing barriers to learning and wellbeing.

Role involves behaviour management, monitoring progress, and collaborating with staff to plan interventions while safeguarding students’ welfare in a dynamic school setting.

Responsibilities

• Student Support and Guidance: Provide tailored support to students facing barriers to learning, helping them manage personal, social, and academic challenges.
• Behavioral Management: Implement strategies to improve student behavior, providing one-on-one mentoring and group interventions to encourage positive change.
• Monitoring Progress: Track and report on students' academic and emotional development, working with teaching staff to ensure appropriate interventions are in place.
• Building Relationships: Foster strong, supportive relationships with students, parents, and external agencies to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Safeguarding and Welfare: Ensure students' safety and well-being by following safeguarding protocols and offering emotional support to address any personal or welfare concerns.
