Job summary

Deykin Avenue J&I School is seeking a caring Learning Mentor to provide nurture and pastoral support to children across the school. You will build trusting relationships and help children feel happy, safe and ready to learn, working closely with the leadership team to identify and support individual needs.

You will deliver individual and small-group interventions, support emotional wellbeing, and contribute to a positive school environment where every child belongs.

Qualifications

• Caring, approachable and passionate about supporting children.
• Experience of working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Provide nurturing and pastoral support to children across the school.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and help them develop confidence and resilience.

Deykin Avenue J&I School is seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Learning Mentor to join our supportive school community. We are looking for a pastoral mentor who is passionate about supporting children to feel happy, safe, valued and ready to learn. The successful candidate will provide nurture and pastoral support to children across the school, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and develop positive relationships and confidence. Working closely with the school leadership team, you will help to identify individual needs and provide targeted support where it is needed most. You will build trusting relationships with children, helping them to feel listened to, understood and that they truly belong at Deykin Avenue.
