Job summary

Leeds University Union (LUU) is seeking an experienced Learning and Engagement Lead to shape our integrated learning, development, engagement and inclusion initiatives. You will lead end-to-end design of leadership programmes, overhaul onboarding, manage learning platforms and support staff networks.

You will collaborate with the Centre of Diversity, monitor data analytics, and ensure compliant training across the organisation, while managing the L&D budget within the People & Culture team.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent L&D/HR qualification.
• Proven end-to-end L&D design and delivery experience.
• Solid generalist HR understanding across the employee lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience managing LMS platforms and developing digital learning content.
• Practical experience supporting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and staff networks.
• Outstanding facilitation and communication skills with strong project management.

Responsibilities

• Design, facilitate, and evaluate L&D programmes to build leadership capability.
• Redesign and centralise the organisation-wide induction programme.
• Oversee LMS and digital content creation; use analytics to measure impact.
• Partner with Diversity Centre to drive inclusion actions and staff networks.
• Ensure mandatory training completion and reporting; manage central L&D budget.
