Job summary

Costa Coffee is expanding its Learning & Development team and seeks a Learning Designer to craft impactful digital learning across our global stores and offices. You will partner with SMEs and operations to identify needs and deliver engaging content that drives performance.

The role emphasizes adult learning principles, Storyline/Rise proficiency, and data-driven evaluation to continuously improve learner outcomes, with hybrid work near our UK sites and a focus on scalable, shareable learning

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering engaging learning solutions in corporate, retail, hospitality, or customer-focused environments.
• Strong instructional design expertise, with an understanding of adult learning principles and digital learning methodologies.
• Proficient in creating digital content using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and other learning technologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative and detail-oriented, with experience using data and insight to evaluate learning effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational teams and SMEs to identify learning needs and deliver impactful learning solutions.
• Influence and challenge stakeholders to focus on performance outcomes, not just training delivery.
• Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Leverage learning technologies, authoring tools and emerging trends to create engaging digital experiences.
• Maintain and enhance learning content within the LMS, driving innovation and accessibility.
• Measure learning effectiveness through data, feedback and insight, continuously improving content and learner outcomes.
