About the role:

The Learning Disability Housing Support & Care at Home Service is seeking a dedicated and motivated Support Worker. The team provides high-quality support to adults with learning disabilities and additional health needs, both in their homes and communities.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting individuals to engage with their communities
• Carrying out mandatory training such as Moving & Handling, medication administration, and personal care support
• Working in a shift system that includes weekends, with pay enhancements for unsociable hours

Requirements:

• A positive attitude towards people with learning disabilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Mandatory registration with the PVG Scheme and Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
• SVQ Level 3 qualification (to be achieved during employment)
