The Learning Disability Housing Support & Care at Home Service is looking for a dedicated and motivated Support Worker to join our team.
The team delivers a high standard of support to adults with learning disabilities and additional health needs in the supported people’s own home and in their community.
To enable the people we support fully engage with their communities, the successful team member will be supported to carry out mandatory training in Moving & Handling, administration medication and skills to support people with their personal care needs.
The post holder will have a positive attitude towards people with a learning disability, will have excellent communication skills, be a great team player but also able to work confidently on their own when required.
Our team delivers support 24 hours a day, operating a shift system which includes weekend work, with appropriate pay enhancements being paid for unsociable hours.
This is a full-time post (37 hours), however job share or flexible working would be considered.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake and achieve SVQ Level 3, along with all additional training designated as relevant to the post.
Registration the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and Scottish Social Services Scotland (SSSC) is mandatory.
