Job summary

Essex Cares Limited is seeking Learning Disabilities Support Workers to join a dedicated team. You will deliver personalised plans to support individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism, promoting independence, social inclusion and improved quality of life in community settings.

Role involves practical, emotional and social support, personal care where needed, and travel across Essex. A driving licence and own vehicle are preferred, with full induction and ongoing support provided.

Qualifications

• Passionate about providing a high level of care and support to adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
• Exceptional listening and communication skills are essential.
• Empathetic and proactive approach to work.
• Willingness to provide personal care when needed.
• Able to work on your own initiative and flexibly.
• Full driving licence and own vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, emotional and social support to help individuals achieve outcomes.
• Support with daily living tasks, personal care, money management and independent travel.
• Deliver a personalised plan focusing on independence, social inclusion and quality of life.
• Travel across Essex to attend training, support sessions and community activities.
