Job summary

Guardian Homecare in Basildon is recruiting Learning Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support, helping people live independently with dignity and confidence in Basildon and surrounding areas.

Roles are available full-time and part-time with flexible shifts across seven days. We offer thorough paid training, driving is required for community coverage, and we support career progression within the Guardian Homecare family.

Qualifications

• No prior social care experience required; full paid training provided.
• Driving licence is required for community-based coverage (SS13, SS14, SS15).
• Candidates should be compassionate, reliable and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support prioritising independence, dignity and fun.
• Empower individuals to develop life skills (cooking, budgeting, household tasks).
• Support community access to college, shopping, hobbies and social activities.
• Provide personal care, medication reminders and safe assistance as needed.
• Monitor wellbeing and report changes to healthcare professionals and families.
