Job summary

Cygnet Ashbrook is seeking Learning Disabilities Support Workers to join our team. You will work 42 hours per week across day and night shifts, including alternate weekends, at Cygnet Ashbrook. A Full UK Driving Licence is required to drive service users to activities, and you will help individuals live independently in supported accommodation.

The role demands excellent communication, teamwork and a caring, energetic approach to care and welfare needs. DBS checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a support setting with learning disabilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Caring and understanding with energy to provide a supportive environment.
• Passionate about empowering service users to be independent.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced care with a flexible learning approach.
• Offer guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn individuals' specific needs and provide appropriate assistance.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.
• Safeguard all patients and maintain a safe, clean environment.

Individuals are supported to hold their own tenancy agreement with a registered housing association.
