Are you an experienced and passionate Learning Disabilities Manager with strong expertise in autism, learning disability support, and residential care management? We are looking for a dedicated leader to manage our small, person‑centred learning disabilities residential home in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

About the Role

As the Learning Disabilities Manager, you will be responsible for the full operational management of a small residential home supporting adults with autism spectrum conditions, learning disabilities, and additional support needs. You will lead a committed team, champion best practice and ensure the highest standards of person‑centred care.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a smaller, community‑focused environment and wants to make a meaningful, long‑term impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the day‑to‑day operations of a learning disabilities residential home
  • Develop personalised support plans for adults with autism and learning disabilities
  • Supervise, coach and inspire a skilled care team
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Promote independence, communication and positive behaviour strategies (PBS)
  • Work collaboratively with families, social workers, healthcare professionals and external agencies
  • Oversee staff rotas, training, audits and quality assurance processes
Essential Requirements
  • Strong experience supporting adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs
  • Previous leadership or management experience in residential care or supported living
  • Excellent understanding of CQC regulations, risk management and safeguarding
  • Person‑centred approach with a focus on dignity, empowerment and inclusion
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
