Job summary

Reed is seeking a People Development Manager in Dundee for a hybrid role with travel across Scotland. You will head the L&D function, shaping the strategy and delivering practical learning solutions across technical, advisory, management, and leadership areas.

You will lead the HL Academy and a structured trainee programme, while driving onboarding, succession planning, and culture change. Collaboration with stakeholders and external providers is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, designing and delivering L&D initiatives.
• Experience conducting training needs analysis with a commercial focus.
• Ability to create and work with blended learning solutions.
• Confidence liaising with internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver practical learning solutions across technical, advisory, management, and leadership skills aligned to the Firm's 5-year strategy.
• Lead and continually develop the HL Academy to reflect business needs and gather feedback to improve content.
• Oversee a structured, high-quality trainee programme aligned to firm goals and establish clear development pathways.
• Deliver a structured onboarding experience that sets new joiners up from day one with the skills and support needed.
• Develop programmes for high-potential employees and future leaders, including mentoring and leadership development.
• Design development solutions that support culture change and embed firm values; use engagement insights to shape priorities.
• Support managers to develop their teams, provide coaching, and drive performance and career growth.
• Plan training needs with the Head of People and ensure high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
• Manage LMS and performance systems, use data to assess impact and continuously improve.
