Join Our Capability Team at Tesco as a Learning Partner

We are excited to recruit Learning Partners to join our Capability team at Tesco. This role offers both permanent and fixed-term contract opportunities.

The successful candidates will lead the scope, design, and development of strategically aligned learning solutions for colleagues and managers across Tesco. You will build blended solutions that equip staff with the necessary skills, behaviors, and values to meet our strategic goals. Your experience in innovative, blended learning design will enable you to balance strategic insight with pragmatic implementation, providing expert advice and creative solutions to development gaps.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to developing a capability strategy to enhance critical skills and behaviors for current and future needs.
  2. Translate data-driven development needs into strategic learning solutions.
  3. Design and curate cutting-edge learning interventions in partnership with external experts, utilizing creativity and technology to improve learner experience.
  4. Manage end-to-end learning design, utilizing various formats like digital, face-to-face, and video, acting as SME on content creation.
  5. Ensure products are fit for purpose across all markets, researching and designing sustainable solutions.
  6. Collaborate with Tesco Business Services to develop solutions that enable self-service learning for colleagues and managers.
  7. Deliver centrally owned programs within set timelines and budgets.
  8. Act as SME for core learning products, ensuring engagement and sign-off across markets.
  9. Build trainer capability through pilots and train-the-trainer sessions.
  10. Partner with senior stakeholders to provide expert advice on development solutions.
  11. Support sign-off and engagement for new learning initiatives.
  12. Work with subject matter experts to incorporate skills and behaviors into solutions for optimal learning experiences.
  13. Maintain a learner-centric, simple, accessible, data-led capability offering aligned with strategic priorities.
  14. Respond agilely to business needs, keeping the learner experience central.
  15. Use data analytics to evaluate and improve existing solutions, presenting insights to inform business cases.
  16. Promote our Win Together behaviors and contribute to cultural change initiatives.
  17. Coordinate with governance and delivery teams to deploy content effectively.
  18. Work with technology teams to champion digital learner experiences.
  19. Collaborate with Talent and D&I teams to align learning with business and inclusion goals.
  20. Manage relationships with external partners, ensuring value for money and adherence to sourcing processes.
  21. Stay updated on digital skills trends and curate relevant content.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Creative, comprehensive experience in learning needs analysis and blended design.
  • Proven ability to develop diverse learning formats using latest methodologies.
  • Strong external network and focus on continuous professional development.
  • Expertise in diversity and inclusion challenges and opportunities.
  • Technical and behavioral learning design knowledge.
  • Robust stakeholder management skills, especially with international stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of current learning trends and effective learning methods.
