Job Description

THIS IS AN UNPAID VOLUNTEERING ROLE.

Location: Home-based

We are seeking passionate VOLUNTEERS who take a strategic approach, build professional relationships, and generate development opportunities for the organization. As a key member of the Learning & Development team, the Senior Learning and Development Officers will support the Principal Learning and Development Officer and the Director of Capacity Building within the Capacity Building Division.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the identification of learning and training needs across the Institute;
  • Assist in curating and creating learning and training opportunities for volunteers;
  • Help design and develop modules for the Internal Learning Hub;
  • Deliver training initiatives to meet identified skills and competencies;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions, courses, and resources;
  • Provide administrative support for learning and development activities;
  • Coordinate BCI learning and training sessions;
  • Assist with resource management duties.

Requirements:

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to develop effective relationships with stakeholders;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple demands under pressure.

Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
  • Interest in climate change, climate finance, and blockchain technology;
  • Understanding of adult learning theories and digital learning models;
  • Knowledge of ‘Mamba Mentality’, technostress, and workplace wellbeing is desirable.

Education & Training:

  • Degree or professional training in Coaching, Learning & Development, Online Learning, or Business;
  • Knowledge of Climate Change or Environmental Science is a plus;
  • Experience in organization/business administration and target-driven roles;
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and independent project management.
