Overview: A learning designer designs content and experiences to empower apprentices to develop the core skills required to be successful in their job.
The role of a Learning Designer is to create highly engaging learning content and interventions that drive real-world outcomes for our apprentices and clients. Learning designers design blended learning experiences.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Design blended curriculum that encompasses live and asynchronous learning modalities
Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to ensure content is industry-aligned
Use learner and client trends data to drive effective design decisions
Create supplemental materials to effectively onboard coaches to support learning experiences
Apply Multiverse’s applied learning approach (MAGE) to all our content
Make effective design decisions to use multiple modes of delivering content for each stage in the program
Apply learning theory and learning technology trends as directed
Apply Multiverse standards for quality and consistency
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Deep experience in applying the end-to-end ADDIE process to high-level curriculum design + instructional/learning design.
Experience designing and developing industry-relevant curricula and that leverages applied and active learning principles.
Experience applying strong backward design principles to create measurable learning outcomes and aligned formative and summative assessments
Communicate effectively and can have productive conversations with peers and senior stakeholders leading to curriculum enhancements
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Additional experience designing for technical disciplines such as Data, Cybersecurity, AI, Project or Product Management
Experience in video editing or other learning design suite tools
Education and Experience:
2+ years of experience in instructional/curriculum design within a commercial environment or 3+ years of experience in instructional/curriculum design in an educational environment
