Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is seeking a Learning Coach in Leicester to support learners aged 16-19. The role is temporary and long-term, with duties including tutorials, mentoring and wellbeing support. You will manage a caseload, monitor progress and deliver targeted interventions to help students succeed.

Starting ASAP, the position pays £16–£18 per hour. The college values safeguarding, attendance tracking and effective communication with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, plus Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting learners aged 16-19 in academic or pastoral settings.
• Experience delivering tutorials, mentoring or pastoral support.
• Safeguarding knowledge and ability to monitor and support wellbeing.
• Strong IT skills and ability to maintain records and progress.

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic, forward-thinking Further Education college based in Leicester, who are looking to appoint a Learning Coach. The college is committed to providing a positive and supportive learning environment, helping students develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in their education and future careers.

The college is looking to take on a dedicated Learning Coach on a temporary, long-term basis, supporting students with their academic progress, personal development and wellbeing. The successful Learning Coach will manage a caseload of learners, deliver individual and group tutorials, monitor attendance and progress, and provide targeted interventions to help students overcome barriers to learning.

The successful Learning Coach will have:

• Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, alongside a Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience supporting young people with their academic, personal or educational development
• Experience delivering engaging tutorials, mentoring sessions or pastoral support
• Knowledge of safeguarding, student welfare and supporting learners aged 16-19
• Strong organisational and IT skills, with the ability to monitor progress and maintain accurate records
• Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young people
