Job summary

Ivy Resource Group is seeking a Learning Coach to support 11–16-year-old students within a Gloucestershire specialist educational setting. The role involves working with learners who require additional academic, social, and emotional support to engage with education and reach their potential.

You will travel between sites across Gloucestershire, providing one-to-one and small group support, and collaborating with staff to promote positive engagement, attendance and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 30 days' experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting students with SEMH needs, SEND or challenging behaviour is desirable.
• A full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
• Ability to travel between sites across Gloucestershire.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A calm, resilient and proactive approach.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people to thrive.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Support learners with academic, social and emotional development.

• Contribute to reviews, meetings and discussions relating to student wellbeing and achievement.
• Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

The Role

As a Learning Coach, you will play a key role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. You will work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to build positive relationships, encourage engagement in learning and help students develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed.
