Job summary

Avanti Fields School in Leicester is seeking a Learning Coach to support pupils to access learning, build confidence and reach their potential. You will work with teachers to provide individual, small-group and class support, adapting activities to meet needs and help every pupil engage with the curriculum.

You will develop strong, positive relationships, promote wellbeing and inclusion, contribute to safeguarding, and participate in wider school life while developing your own skills through

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, small-group and whole-class support, adapting learning and activities to help all pupils access the curriculum and make progress.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils, understanding their individual strengths and needs and promoting their wellbeing, inclusion and positive behaviour.
• Work closely with teachers, inclusion staff, families and other professionals to implement appropriate support strategies, including for pupils with SEND and those who speak English as an additional language.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment, remaining alert to safeguarding concerns and supporting the wider life of the school through trips, activities, events and daily routines.
• Promote safeguarding, inclusion and the values of the school and Trust, while contributing to the wider life of the school and taking an active role in your own professional development.
