An established industry player is seeking a Learning and Engagement Officer to enhance community connections through innovative programs at a leading fashion museum. This role emphasizes inclusivity and social impact, making it ideal for individuals passionate about fashion and community engagement. The position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for both office and remote work, and provides an opportunity to contribute to a significant cultural initiative. The Fashion Museum Bath (FMB) holds one of the world’s leading collections of fashion, spanning 400 years from 1600 to the present day. We are undertaking a major project to open a new state-of-the-art museum, including galleries and learning spaces, to showcase more of our extraordinary collection.
We are seeking a Learning and Engagement Officer to join the FMB team. The main purpose of this role is to develop accessible, welcoming, and engaging programmes, with a focus on connecting with those who may face barriers to museum engagement. This programme supports equitable access, social impact, and aligns with the museum’s civic responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with community organisations in a museum, gallery, cultural institution, or visitor attraction, and possess a keen interest in fashion. You will value the social function of museums as inclusive spaces that positively impact the community. The work will be hybrid, combining office work in Bath with community engagement across B&NES and remote work.
