CareersBU is part of the Student Services directorate, providing a wide range of careers and employability support to BU students and graduates. This includes one-to-one appointments, webinars, workshops, an extracurricular skills programme, careers fairs, online resources, and more. We aim to help our students develop skills, gain experience, and make informed career decisions.

This role focuses on engaging students and graduates with the service through digital and face-to-face approaches, aiming to introduce more students to CareersBU. It offers an exciting opportunity to develop new engagement strategies, especially at a time when employability is crucial. The role is vital in making career thinking accessible and unthreatening.

The role emphasizes increasing engagement among student segments who currently do not use the service, developing engaging content such as social media posts, videos, and case studies. The postholder will recruit and supervise up to 5 student Careers Champions, each working 5-10 hours weekly. These Champions, current BU students, will create content, amplifying student voices in marketing efforts.

Applicants should be creative, positive, ambitious, confident in engaging with students from diverse backgrounds, and experienced in creating digital content like videos, social media, and website content.
