The role will be based at our offices at 2-4 Cockspur Street, London, SW1Y 5BS, in central London. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas. Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) and help deliver our People Strategy and Employee Experience work. You will shape and deliver our leadership and management development, high potential and talent management programmes, and support the creation of career pathways for our people. The role will support the Head of Culture to ensure the SFO continues to meet the learning needs of the organisation now and in the future.

Reporting to the Head of Culture and supported by a small Learning & Development team, you will provide strategic direction in your role leading our learning and development offer for both leadership and technical skills. Your leadership will drive the development of our current and future workforce, delivering this in line with our overall employee experience goals and people strategy.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues in the People and Culture team, as well as stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and build relationships with learning networks across government.

Job Description

  • Lead the design, development and delivery of leadership and management development programmes to build the confidence and capability of all SFO’s people leaders.
  • Lead the design and development of a suite of high potential talent development solutions, ensuring we inclusively develop and retain our people, creating opportunities to build their career at the SFO.
  • Lead the provision of operational learning and development activity across the SFO including career pathways, supplier selection, design, quality assurance and evaluation of the programmes.
  • Manage the SFO mentor programme, reviewing and updating to meet the needs of the organisation in line with wider Civil Service practices.
  • Manage the SFO apprenticeship programme, creating and promoting opportunities for maximum value from our levy contributions.

  • Proven track record of building and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors
  • A supporting CV outlining your job history and qualifications, including how you meet the essential technical criteria for the role.

Interview stage

Candidates will also be required to prepare a presentation.

Interviews are expected to take place from 14 July, in person at the SFO office.

The successful candidate can expect to start in the role mid to late November 2025 following a handover from the current incumbent.
