Job summary

Ashley Kate HR & Finance is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a Learning & Development Manager. This role shapes and drives the firm’s learning agenda, embedding continuous development across all levels to support business growth and career progression.

You will work closely with HR leadership to ensure programmes align with SRA requirements and industry best practice, delivering measurable outcomes and strategic impact.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Learning & Development Manager or Senior L&D professional within professional services or law.
  • Strong understanding of SRA regulations, lawyer competency requirements and development frameworks.
  • Experience designing competency frameworks and career development pathways.
  • Expertise in Training Needs Analysis and organisational capability development.
  • Experience supporting performance management and succession planning initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the firm's Learning & Development strategy across legal and business support functions.
  • Conduct comprehensive Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and align solutions to business objectives.
  • Design and embed competency frameworks linked to performance and development.
  • Support implementation of a new performance review framework aligned to competencies and career progression.
  • Create clear career pathways and succession planning processes.
  • Lead learning programmes and blended solutions, including digital learning resources.
