Job summary

Access Creative College in Norwich is hiring a Learner Services Advisor to support day-to-day centre operations, learning delivery and safeguarding. The role entails 37.5 hours per week during term time, with a fixed term until 27 March 2027, and includes 1:1 and small group support for learners, plus admin and reception duties.

You will work closely with the Learner Services Manager and Senior Learner Services Advisor to maintain a safe, inclusive environment, manage welfare and progress logs,

Qualifications

• Experience providing learning support for students with identified needs.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and EHCP processes.
• Ability to manage 1:1 and group support sessions.
• Accurate record-keeping of learner support and pastoral care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver focused teaching interventions for students with identified support needs or at risk learners, including 1:1 and small group support.
• Follow lesson plans and devise tailored support strategies with lecturer direction.
• Record all learner support, contacts and pastoral care in logs and systems.
• Assist in preparing ALS learner profiles and support plans.
• Support EAA application process by gathering evidence with senior staff.
• Manage the Reception area on a rota, delivering a professional enquiry service and maintaining security controls.
• Provide general admin support (mail, appointments, filing, communications).
• Coordinate admissions, enrolment, register audits, and data reporting with central departments.
• Support Examinations Officer with admin, invigilation and logistics for exams.
• Provide careers support as directed by Head of Careers.
• Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns with DSL guidance.
