Job summary

College of West Anglia in King's Lynn is seeking a Learner Support Officer to assist learners across a range of courses. The role covers in-class and out-of-class support, including learners with educational health and care plans or SEND, with emphasis on maths, English, and independent living skills.

The post offers a supportive team and extensive training. The role is 21–35 hours per week during term time plus up to 5 paid training days per annum.

Job description

JOB TITLE: Learner Support Officer
LOCATION: King's Lynn
HOURS: 21 to 35 hours per week (term-time plus up to 5 paid training days per annum)
SALARY: £13.38 - £13.59 per hour (plus a holiday enhancement of £2.66 to £2.69 per hour) (£25,749 - £26,149 per annum FTE)

Learner support officers within the additional learning support team will support a range of students both within and outside of the classroom. These are varied roles where you can expect to work with learners with educational health and care plans or recognised special educational needs in areas such as maths, English, sessions developing independent living skills and more. No two days are the same.

We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving additional learning support team and in recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength. We offer an incredible training package and a chance to work within tight knit and supportive teams.
