Powys County Council is recruiting for a Learner Support - Pastoral Care role at Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School. This 30-hour per week post focuses on pastoral care, well-being and supporting learners under the Nurture Programme with behaviour management and liaison with staff.
Reporting to the Headteacher, the successful candidate will manage a caseload, provide first line pastoral support and act as a link between the school, families and other agencies.
Learner Support - Pastoral Care Grade 7 – Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School – 30 Hours Permanent Contract
The Governors are looking for a learner support with responsibility for pastoral care. Reporting to the Headteacher, and in liaison with teaching staff, the post will contribute to overall good order within the school and specifically in the Nurture Programme, including behaviour management, and promote the well-being and general progress and achievement of learners.
The post will manage a caseload of identified learners. Qualifications and experience in either Drawing and Talking, Thrive, ELSA, TIS and/or Nurture UK practises would be desirable.
