Job summary

Powys County Council is recruiting for a Learner Support - Pastoral Care role at Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School. This 30-hour per week post focuses on pastoral care, well-being and supporting learners under the Nurture Programme with behaviour management and liaison with staff.

Reporting to the Headteacher, the successful candidate will manage a caseload, provide first line pastoral support and act as a link between the school, families and other agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in pastoral care or learner support.
• Ability to manage a caseload of identified learners.
• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line pastoral support to learners.
• Provide attendance, behavioural and educational support to learners.
• Act as a strategic link between the school, parents/carers and other agencies.
