Who we are?

Integrated Maintenance & Repair (IMR) Alliance – Part of the Anglian Water network, focuses on infrastructure maintenance work and is responsible for: water network pressure management, finding and fixing leaks, replacing lead pipes and repairing burst mains.

What will you be doing as a Leakage Field Technician?

Employed directly by Anglian Water, your role as a Leakage Field Technician is crucial. Without you, our water supply would suffer and there would be a huge impact for our customers.

We are looking for you to carry out a full range of leak detection activities whilst providing a first-class service to our customers. Responding to alarms and changes in statistical data, you’ll have a fully equipped van, the training necessary to conduct the work, and travel to the areas within the water network where potential leaks have been identified in order to locate and move them to be resolved within agreed timescales.

This is a reactive and proactive field-based role; you’ll support with planned maintenance and be the first on the scene to identify unexpected leaks. Developing your leak detection skills every day, you’ll be trained to use specialist electronic means and data to locate hidden leaks on our water network. When you join the team, you’ll be provided with plenty of hands-on training and job shadowing and work towards becoming NRSWA accredited & LTO trained (licence to operate).

What does it take to be a Leakage Field Technician?

You’ll be enthusiastic, hardworking, and ambitious with a real desire to drive your career forward and have a passion for hands-on work and problem solving. Keen to learn new things with excellent customer service skills and a reasonable knowledge of use of IT equipment such as tablets and mobile phones, you’ll be a good communicator with a desire to make a solid contribution to your team.

Previous operational leakage experience including leak detection, resolving customer supply pipe leaks, distribution and leakage repair is advantageous but not necessary, as full training will be given. A willingness to work at nights and weekends as required from time to time is also essential to this role.

Why Anglian Water?

We are passionate and committed to the learning and development of our people making sure they have the right skills and knowledge to be successful and to help achieve their potential. We also take Health and Safety very seriously in everything that we do. This role offers a rewarding company bonus scheme.

As a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to:

Personal private health care

23 days annual leave – rising with length of service

Access to a company vehicle, tools and all uniform and PPE

Competitive pension scheme – Anglian Water double-matches your contributions up to 6%

Flexible benefits to support your wellbeing and lifestyle.

Inclusion is for everyone. We are an equal opportunity employer which means we’ll consider all suitably qualified applicants regardless of gender identity or expression, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, age, sexual orientation, disability status or any other protected characteristic. We recruit and develop our people based on merit and their passion for creating better outcomes, and we’re committed to creating an environment where all our colleagues feel they belong.

If you are offered a job with us, you’ll be subject to the relevant/standard employment checks, including: your right to work in the UK, references, driving licence and identity checks. Depending on your role, you may also be subject to further pre-employment checks.

If successful in your application, you will benefit from access to a company vehicle, so a full driving licence is essential.

If you think this is the next move for you and your career, then please apply today.
