Job summary

Blackburn Rovers is seeking a Lead Academy Analyst to run analysis for its Youth Development Phase, covering the U13 to U16 teams. This permanent role manages the academy's YDP performance analysis interns.

You will plan pre-match, in-match and post-match analysis, capture and code footage on Hudl, and provide feedback to players and coaches to support development and safeguarding within the EPPP framework.

Qualifications

Degree in sports science, coaching or performance analysis or equivalent.
Strong video and data analysis skills (SportsCode).
Good communication and presentation skills, with attention to detail.
Understanding of tactics and development for U13-U16 players.
Knowledge of EPPP, academy audits and safeguarding.
UEFA C licence (towards) or working towards one; UEFA B licence desirable.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver pre-match, in-match and post-match analysis for the U13 to U16 teams.
Capture, code and upload match and training footage to Hudl.
Give individual and team feedback through video sessions and data.
Help coaches build Development Action Plans for players.
Maintain performance databases and dashboards using SportsCode, Hudl, Wyscout and Coach Paint.
Make sure analysis meets EPPP and audit requirements.
Work with coaches, sports science and recruitment, and support coach education with analysis resources and workshops.
