Job summary

Leiston Primary School is seeking a proactive Lead Activities Worker to run our wraparound care before and after school. You will create a welcoming, safe environment and plan engaging activities across sports, arts and outdoor learning while supervising Activity Workers.

You will lead a small team, foster strong relationships with pupils and families, and ensure high standards of safeguarding and welfare in a busy, community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in school or childcare.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and nurturing in approach.
• Ability to lead and motivate a small team.
• Creative and enjoys planning activities for children.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the breakfast and after-school club.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment where children feel happy and supported.
• Plan and deliver a wide range of activities including sports, crafts and outdoor learning.
• Lead, support and supervise Activity Workers.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families and staff.
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety standards.
