Job summary

Premier Education in Ipswich is seeking a Part Time Wraparound Care Lead to deliver safe, engaging care for children aged 4–11 across our after-school sessions. You will oversee daily operations, coordinate activity planning, and ensure high standards of child-centred care in line with EYFS guidelines.

As a leader, you’ll supervise playworkers and volunteers, support onboarding, liaise with schools and parents, and contribute to safeguarding readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing or supervising staff in childcare or educational setting.
• Knowledge of EYFS guidelines and best practices.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate and inclusive play activities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall setting operations and safeguarding of all children.
• Coordinate school pickups and safe handovers to parents/carers.
• Lead on activity planning and behaviour management.
• Supervise staff, volunteers and new hires; onboard effectively.
• Ensure OFSTED readiness and maintain high standards of care.
