Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc is seeking a Workshop Technician in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeen. The role oversees maintenance, mobilisation and factory acceptance testing in line with HSEQ policy, leading workshop technicians and driving quality and efficiency.

You will apply a strong mechanical and hydraulic background, mentor staff, and push continuous improvement across the workshop while supporting safety and reliability of offshore assets.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and/or hydraulic background required.
• Experience in leading and mentoring a team of technicians.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and efficiency in a workshop environment.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of subsea and offshore deck equipment.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul, repair, and test assets in line with procedures and standards.
• Promote and ensure full function testing and maintenance of equipment.
• Lead and mentor workshop technicians to develop skills and raise standards.
• Drive workshop improvement initiatives and QA/QHSE enhancements.
