Job summary

James Fisher Offshore & Decommissioning is seeking an Offshore Technician to join our experienced team. The role covers multi-disciplinary service, assembly, testing, operation and preventive maintenance of JFO and third‑party equipment offshore, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality standards to keep assets reliable.

• Understanding of operational processes and maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with regulations, HSE policies and QA processes.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including disassembly, servicing and testing.
• Experience in maintenance, lubrication and testing of components and machines.
• Background in assembly/disassembly and repair of parts.
• Proven track record in planning maintenance activities and evaluating performance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain offshore equipment and systems to ensure availability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support offshore operations to meet project objectives.
• Perform lubrication, testing and routine maintenance on components and machines.
• Assemble/disassemble equipment and repair parts as needed.

Offshore Technician

Job Purpose:
Multi-Disciplined Service Technician duties to include assembly, test, operate, service and maintain JFO and third-party equipment offshore.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of offshore equipment and systems.
• Monitor and maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support offshore operations to achieve project objectives
• Perform maintenance, lubrication, and testing of components, equipment, and machines.
• Conduct assembly and disassembly of equipment, as well as repair of parts
• Ensure that all equipment meets safety and quality standards
• Provide technical expertise to the team and support offshore operations
• Plan maintenance activities and evaluate the performance of components and machines.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Understanding of operational processes and maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, health and safety policies, and quality assurance processes.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including disassembly, servicing, greasing, assembly, and function testing
• Experience in performing maintenance, lubrication, and testing of components, equipment, and machines.
• Background in assembly and disassembly of equipment, as well as repair of parts.
• Proven track record in planning maintenance activities and evaluating the performance of components and machines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word.
