Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc is seeking an Assistant Mechanical Technician in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. This full-time, permanent role involves assisting in assembly, testing, and servicing of our mechanical products, with a focus on quality and safety.

You will work alongside experienced technicians and team leaders, gaining hands-on experience while following established procedures. Security checks are required.

Qualifications

• National 4/5 in Maths / Design & Manufacture / Science or equivalent.
• Experience in production/manufacturing environment desirable.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, drawings and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical products following work instructions and quality requirements.
• Assist with testing, inspections and functional checks.
• Complete assembly, inspection and test documentation accurately and maintain records.
• Operate tools and workshop equipment safely supporting manufacturing, servicing and maintenance.
