Job summary

Interventek Subsea Engineering Limited seeks a Workshop Technician to support assembly, maintenance, inspection and testing of high-integrity mechanical and subsea equipment. You will follow drawings, procedures and company standards with a focus on HSE, quality and traceability.

The role requires a recognised Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification and workshop experience; subsea/oil & gas exposure is preferred. You will work in a dynamic, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience within an engineering workshop environment.
• Experience with subsea/oil & gas or other high-integrity environments preferred.
• Experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, inspection and testing.
• Experience using hydrostatic, pneumatic/gas, thermal and functional test equipment.
• Ability to read/interpret mechanical drawings, pneumatic circuits and hydraulic schematics.
• Good understanding of hydraulic connections and workshop practices.
• Strong HSE awareness and commitment to safe working practices.
• Identify defects and non-conformances and raise via correct processes.
• Maintain accurate workshop build, inspection, test and traceability records.
• Good organisational and time-management skills; meet deadlines.
• Work well in a team and independently within procedures and competencies.
• Willingness to work flexibly to meet business/project needs.

Responsibilities

• Review work packages; verify components; undertake assembly and redress; complete required documentation.
• Review procedures and requirements; verify test equipment; configure equipment and perform tests; record results.
• Ensure workshop tooling and test equipment are used safely; report defects; maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Work within competence; seek guidance for activities outside training; uphold safety and quality with full traceability.
