Job summary

HTC Reading in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a workshop foreman to lead our workshop team, oversee diagnostics, servicing and repairs, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance on the shop floor.

You will coach technicians, prioritise workloads in a busy environment, liaise with managers, suppliers and customers, and drive productivity and customer satisfaction through practical leadership and a hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a workshop environment with leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostics, servicing, repairs, maintenance standards and workshop procedures.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads in a busy workshop.
• Confident communication with technicians, managers, suppliers and customers.
• Ability to lead by example, stay calm under pressure and make practical decisions on the workshop floor.
• Health and safety awareness or supervisory training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the workshop floor and coach the team to meet targets.
• Prioritise workloads in a busy workshop to maximise productivity.
• Liaise with technicians, managers, suppliers and customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure quality, safety and compliance in all workshop activities.
• Maintain records, job cards, workshop systems and reports.
