Job summary

Navantia Group in Scotland, Methil, is seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to lead frontline teams in a busy yard, vessel build, repair or inspection environment. You will coordinate daily work and allocate resources to drive productivity while upholding safety and quality.

The role requires strong welding expertise and proven supervisory capability, with the ability to mentor staff, run safety briefings, and ensure work meets procedures and specifications.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or advanced technical qualification in a relevant technical field.
• Ability to lead, coordinate and motivate teams in a hands-on operational environment.
• Extensive welding experience with strong supervisory capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support welding teams on a day-to-day basis.
• Lead daily safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to quality standards.
• Monitor progress and escalate risks, delays or constraints.
• Support attendance, timekeeping, conduct and team performance.
• Promote safe behaviours, teamwork and continuous improvement.
