Job summary

Navantia Group in Belfast is looking for skilled welders to join their team. The role involves manual and machine welding tasks to assemble structural parts and adhere to safety standards. Candidates should hold relevant welding qualifications and demonstrate experience in heavy steel plate welding processes.

This position offers a permanent, full-time role with benefits including a company pension and holiday. Candidates must complete BPSS security clearance as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of welding workplace Safety requirements and good working practices.
• Demonstrable experience of heavy steel plate welding processes.
• Understanding of Engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Possession of current welding certifications (ISO9606‑1).

Responsibilities

• Manual or machine welding of fillet and butt welds.
• Maintain a safe working environment and comply with safety procedures.
• Read and interpret weld symbols on fabrication drawings.
• Set up equipment and welding systems.
• Perform flat and positional welding according to procedures.
