Job summary

Egis is expanding its UK Water team, building a high-performing Process Engineering group to shape major water and wastewater programmes in municipal and industrial sectors. You will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment delivering robust, sustainable treatment solutions.

This is a growth role offering accelerated progression, exposure to AMP8 and UK standards, and a chance to lead design delivery across national projects.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng in Chemical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status (IChemE or equivalent).
• Typically 8–10+ years of relevant process design experience in water/wastewater.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary water/wastewater projects.
• Proven ability as process discipline lead and technical lead on complex schemes.
• Experience with process modelling/simulation (BioWin, SUMO, Dynamizu).

Responsibilities

• Lead process design delivery on multidisciplinary water/wastewater projects across the full design lifecycle.
• Act as process technical lead on projects, owning design strategy and key decisions.
• Review/process calculations, mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs and design documentation.
• Lead process modelling and simulation activities with BioWin/SUMO/Dynamizu.
• Drive coordination with Mechanical, EICA, civil/structural, MEP, construction and operations teams.
• Promote lean and digitally enabled delivery using standardised tools and templates.
• Provide technical assurance and support project managers on risk, scope, and change.
• Mentor and manage engineers, supporting development and chartership.
• Contribute to bids, client engagement and growth of process capability.
