Job summary

Egis is expanding its UK Water team and seeking an experienced Process Engineering Lead to shape major water and wastewater programmes. You will own design strategy, lead multidisciplinary delivery and mentor engineers across projects in the municipal and industrial sectors.

Based in the UK with hybrid options in London, Bristol or Manchester, you will drive robust, sustainable solutions and contribute to bids, client engagements and capability development within a fast-growing practice.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng or equivalent in Chemical/Process Engineering or related field.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with IChemE or equivalent.
• 8–10+ years of process design experience in water/wastewater/biosolids.
• Proven lead or senior technical lead on multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK water industry standards and CDM 2015.
• Experience mentoring engineers and supporting capability development.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design delivery on multidisciplinary water/wastewater projects across the full design lifecycle.
• Act as process technical lead: strategy, selection, interfaces, risks, deliverables.
• Review design calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, design basis and technical notes.
• Lead process modelling/simulation using BioWin, SUMO, Dynamizu or equivalents.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, EICA, civil/structural, MEP, construction and operations teams.
• Drive lean, digital delivery through templates, automation and data analytics.
• Provide technical assurance and support project managers on risk, scope, and changes.
• Mentor and manage engineers; support recruitment and chartership progression.
• Contribute to bids, client engagement and growth of the process capability.
