Job summary

Adler and Allan is seeking a Senior Utilities Surveyor to work on site with our Lee Mill-based team, with probation leading to hybrid or home working where feasible. The role involves leading complex utility surveys, mentoring colleagues and delivering high-quality results for clients.

You will independently plan and execute projects, coordinate teams, and liaise with clients on site, driving safe, efficient outcomes while upholding our standards and procedures across the division.

Qualifications

• Strong experience operating independently on large/complex utility surveys.
• Proven track record delivering complex surveys with multiple service types.
• Experience using utility detection equipment (EML, GPR).
• Solid knowledge of data collection and processing for survey work.
• Ability to plan and deliver projects with minimal supervision.
• Experience supervising or mentoring less experienced surveyors.
• Strong quality control and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret client briefs and site requirements.
• Ability to estimate fieldwork and processing durations.
• Good understanding of site health and safety and RAMS.

Responsibilities

• Independently undertake large/complex utility survey projects lasting a week or more.
• Lead projects and coordinate other survey team members.
• Deliver projects within agreed quality and time targets.
• Undertake accurate field data collection and processing.
• Carry out quality checks on survey data and deliverables.
• Plan site activities, resources and workload for efficient delivery.
• Supervise and mentor junior/trainee surveyors.
• Prepare RAMS appropriate to the work.
• Assist with enquiries and quotations and estimate site needs.
• Promote procedures and a positive divisional culture.
• Communicate confidently with clients, site teams and stakeholders.
