Job summary

ECSL is seeking a Senior Utility Surveyor to lead a new utility survey capability. You will oversee surveys from site setup through to completion, providing technical leadership, project management and quality assurance.

You will mentor junior surveyors and engage with clients, contractors and design teams across projects. Role requires PAS128 expertise, extensive on-site survey experience and willingness to travel the UK, with a hybrid pattern of 2–3 days in the Derby office and site work as

Qualifications

• ProQual Level 6 Diploma in Utility Mapping or equivalent.
• Extensive on-site utility surveys and post-processing data experience.
• Strong PAS128 knowledge and technical competence.
• Effective communication with design teams, clients and contractors.
• Ability to lead a technical team and mentor junior staff.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally abroad.

Responsibilities

• Lead site works and uphold high H&S standards.
• Ensure projects are delivered to a high technical standard.
• Manage projects and contribute to tenders.
• Mentor and develop junior surveyors.
• Liaise confidently with clients, engineers and project teams.
• Identify business development opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
