Job summary

Glanville Environmental is seeking a Senior Utilities Surveyor to join our Lee Mill base and lead large, complex utility surveys with hands-on project delivery and client-facing responsibilities.

The role requires independent planning, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring safety and quality across multi‑service projects lasting a week or more. After probation, hybrid working may be available to suit operations.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as Utility Surveyor with independent work capability.
• Proven track record delivering complex surveys with multiple service types.
• Competence using utility detection equipment (EML and GPR).
• Ability to plan and deliver projects with minimal supervision.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior surveyors.
• Knowledge of RAMS and health and safety requirements.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and process large, complex utility survey projects.
• Lead projects and coordinate survey team members.
• Deliver projects to quality standards, specs and time.
• Collect field data and perform processing.
• Quality control checks on survey data.
• Plan site activities and manage resources.
• Supervise and mentor junior surveyors.
• Produce RAMS appropriate to the work.
• Assist with enquiries and quotations.
• Promote procedures and drive a positive culture.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders.
