Job summary

Skillful is seeking a Lead Portfolio Analyst in London (or Hampshire) to join the underwriting team. You will build and refine analytical logic to help underwriters make better decisions on coverage, rates and portfolio footprint, with a mix of hands-on analysis and lead projects.

You'll work closely with the underwriting manager and Chief Underwriting Officer, deploying models into production and mentoring junior analysts, while delivering real value in live underwriting decisions.

Qualifications

• Experienced in underwriting analytics, pricing and data science.
• Able to build and deploy models that influence underwriting decisions.
• Able to explain complex findings to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analysing portfolio performance and adjusting coverage, rates or footprint.
• Building fraud detection models and identifying risk signals at quotes.
• Collaborating with underwriters to improve risk assessment.
• Deploying models into production for live underwriting decisions.
• Mentoring junior analysts and developing their skills.
