Simply Business is hiring an Underwriting Analyst in London to drive data-driven decisions and shape underwriting strategy in a fast-growing, tech-led company. You will collaborate with capacity providers, finance and data engineering to influence performance, lead reserving, and deliver commercial impact.

You will modernise underwriting tech with data engineers, mentor junior staff, and present trends to senior leadership and external partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance data analytics and underwriting metrics.
• Proficiency with SQL, Excel and data viz tools (Tableau/Power BI).
• Ability to manipulate large datasets and identify anomalies.
• Strong communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate insurance product metrics to identify trends in claims and sales.
• Build and maintain self-service data tools for the MGA team.
• Prepare monthly management information and performance reports for external providers.
• Calculate reserving requirements and profit share metrics with finance.
• Collaborate with data engineering to ensure data quality and timeliness.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations and mentor juniors.
